Fall leaf season in Blue Ridge

Fall is Blue Ridge's busiest season for a reason. The ridgelines you see from our deck turn gold and red from mid-October into early November, and the whole town leans into it with apple season at the orchard and the scenic railway running through the color.

From the cabin

The best seat is the upper deck at sunset, telescope optional. Morning fog sits in the valley below the ridge and burns off by the second cup of coffee. Our guests say the view changes every twenty-five minutes.

Around town

Ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway along the Toccoa River, which runs a heavier schedule in October. Mercier Orchards is in full apple swing. Lake Blue Ridge is calm and quiet once summer boaters leave.

Hikes with color

Fall Branch Falls and the Aska Trails area are the closest. The drive up to Blue Hole Falls takes you deeper into the Chattahoochee National Forest and is worth it in late October.

Booking tip

October weekends book months out across Blue Ridge. Booking direct with us gets our best rate and lets us hold dates for repeat guests before they open elsewhere.
