Mountain forecasts change fast, and a wet afternoon is part of the deal in the Blue Ridge. The cabin was designed with that in mind, and town has enough indoors to fill a day if you want to get out.
Downstairs
The arcade-style game room has a pool table, foosball, air hockey, NBA Jam and Pac-Man arcade games, board games, a Smart TV and its own stone fireplace. It's next to the bunk room, so the kids' end of the house takes care of itself.
Upstairs
The living room fireplace, a Smart TV for movie night, a dedicated workspace by the window, and a kitchen big enough to cook together. The covered decks stay dry, so the hot tub is still on.
In town
Downtown's galleries, boutiques and cafés are a ten-minute drive. Mercier Orchards' market and bakery are indoors. The scenic railway runs rain or shine on its scheduled days.
Good to know
Cell service is spotty in the mountains, so download check-in details and any maps before you arrive. The wifi at the cabin is solid.
